Usher Raymond IV was born on October 14, 1978 and is best known as Usher. He is an American R&B and pop singer and actor who rose to fame in the mid-late 1990s. To date, he has sold approximately 30 million albums worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards. Usher is also a part owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers National Basketball Association franchise. He also has his own record label, US Records.

No release date has been set and no title has been announced for Usher's fifth studio album. It was originally scheduled to be released in November of 2007. Songs for the album have already been recorded with Jermaine Dupri, T-Pain, Dre & Vidal, and Polow da Don. Other producers he may have worked with but aren't yet confirmed include Kanye West, Timbaland, and Ne-Yo.

Love In This Club is already receiving massive radio airplay and the Love In This Club Ringtone is currently the most popular ringtone in the world. The track, which features rapper Young Jeezy, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 83, and has peaked at number 51 in just its second week on the chart. Love In This Club has also peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hip-Hop R&B Singles Chart was named "Airplay Gainer" for the week of March 8, 2008. The song was digitally released February 26, 2008.

Although the track has only been released for a few days, Love In This Club looks like it will soon be a number one single in the United States. Usher's last album, titled Confessions, reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and it looks as though Usher's upcoming 5th album will have similar success. Look for the Love In This Club music video to debut on YouTube and MTV in the coming weeks.

In this day and age its rare that a rock n roll career lasts more than a few years, much less a decade. Of course there are some acts that have lasted the years through fluctuations of styles and genres of musics ever-changing fads. However, few can even come close to bragging of a career thats spanned three decades, as Sir Paul McCartney can.

The greatest part of it all is that it goes beyond that, since the three decades that we speak of are only from his solo career. Of course you cant forget the thirteen years before that while he toured with a small little group known as The Beatles. You may have heard of them.

Paul began his solo career by releasing his first album, McCartney two weeks before the Beatles released their last album Abbey Road. That first solo album had a warm welcome from fans, and so he went on to release a second album in 1971 called Ram. On this one, he included his new wife Linda McCartney so that they could be on tour together.

After Ram, he started the super group Wings, with wife Linda McCartney, as well as Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine, and drummer Denny Seiwell. The band started an unexpected tour in 1972 throughout Europe in small venues and various British University Auditoriums.

Wings' first live show was unannounced - and uninvited - and was for students at Nottingham University on February 9, 1972. Paul and Linda, their children, the band and pet dogs all drove north from London in a van, heading for towns picked at random and asking passers-by if their town had a university.

"Our first stop, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, said no," said Paul, "Nottingham said yes."

The price of entry at Wings' first show - at lunchtime in the Nottingham students union hall - was 50p on the door. Wings - Paul, Linda, drummer Denny Seiwell and guitarists Denny Laine and Henry McCullough, received a bag of 50p pieces, which were distributed amongst the band later in the back of the van.

For their first UK tour in 1972, Wings set out with no promoter, no advance or on-the-road publicity, no venues booked and no hotels booked. Hotels were called at the last minute.

From there, McCartney seemed to get the touring bug again and started producing albums and touring with Wings nearly every year to year and a half through to 1979. These included 1973 UK tour, 1975-1976 world tour & 1979 UK tour. The last ever wings concert was at Hammersmith Odeon, England December 29th 1979 and was a charity concert for the people of Kampuchea.

Wings were also due to tour Japan in 1980 but unfortunately Paul was arrested and jailed in Japan for carrying marijuana and the tour was cancelled. This was also the end of wings

In the 1980s McCartney ventured out on his own again, and recorded McCartney II, where, just like on his first self-titled album, he played every instrument on the album himself.

One thing that did change for McCartney during that year was his ambition to tour following the murder of his longtime friend and Beatles band mate John Lennon on Dec. 9th, 1980.

McCartney didnt want to tour following this tragic event and did not until play live again until 1985. In an interview with Playboy magazine in 1984, McCartney revealed that it was because he feared that he would be next to be murdered.

After he appeared at Live Aid in 1985, he got the touring bug and although it wasnt until 1989 he did his 1st live concerts for Fan Club members he kept right on going, recording and touring right into the 90s with two live albums in 1990 and 1993 as well as venturing into classical music that same decade.

In the new Millennium, McCartney fulfilled world tours from 2002 through to 2005 once again proving himself as one of the most prolific musicians on the planet. In 2006 he performed with rapper JayZ and rock band Linkin Park at the Grammy Awards, performing Yesterday in honor of the death of Coretta Scott King.

At age 64 this year, who knows what will come out of Sir McCartney next, but you can be sure that he wont be settling down anytime soon.

Who was the first rap artist to…

…appear in a rap music video?

…be featured in a soap opera?

…become a millionaire?

…become a producer?

…obtain a certified gold record for rap?

…record a national commercial?

…sign to a major label?

…tour the US and Europe

…use the sample loop?

Curtis “Kurtis Blow” Walker is not only an accomplished recording artist he is also a rap pioneer turned hip-hop apostle. With more than 25 years of industry experience, Walker, known simply as Kurtis Blow, has 10 albums to his credit and a host of accomplishments that won him music, film, and television acclaim in the 80’s.

Over the years, Blow maintained his rap association while evolving into an advocate for social justice. Today, he speaks empathetically against racism, drugs, and alcohol. His community initiatives include supporting The National Ad Counsel and Phoenix House of California. In addition to having aided international campaigns such as the Sun City Artist Against Apartheid record, Blow supports U.S. troops. After 9/11, Blow went on a 17-show Armed Forces tour (www.armedforcesentertainment.com) to the Middle East. The tour included stops in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Krgystan, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Though very active socially, Blow has not left his first love. When he is not working on Backspin 43, Sirius Satellite Radio’s Classic Old School Hip-Hop station, the former break dancer serves as rapper, DJ, and worship leader at the Hip-Hop Church he co-founded in Harlem, New York. Reportedly, Blow adds a tenth accomplishment to his list of firsts: a rapper who holds the office of a pastor. * Although it may seem like a conflict of interest to some, it is a natural fit for Blow. “I’ve always noticed there is spirituality in hip-hop,” he commented. Like many modern churches, Blow sees hip-hop as a means to bring “young people who love God but do not like to go to church…back to the church.”

In addition to a CD collaboration with hip-hop pioneer, Christopher “Play” Martin and holy hip-hop recording artist Canton Jones, Blow continues to be a trendsetter. Recently, he launched www.HipHopMinistry.com, a global portal that serves as an online music hub for holy hip-hop music. Last month, Blow took his Hip-Hop Church America on the road. A concert featuring DJ Battlecat, 2Five, Eastwood, Takim, and TraCee was held at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California (October 21, 2006). Founded by Dr. Robert Schuller, the Crystal Cathedral has been a mainstay for conservative Christians for half a century. “By bringing Hip-Hop Church America here, we’re showing that hip-hop can be both cool and fun, but also have a positive message,” Schuller’s son Robert commented.

* A trend popularized five years ago by then Bad Boy recording artist, MA$E (Mason Betha), Kurtis Blow is not hip-hop’s only apostle. Betha pastors S.A.N.E. Church International in Atlanta, Georgia. Former Three 6 Mafia member, Mr. Del is also a rapper who pastors City of Refuge in Memphis, Tennessee. While he does not formally pastor a church, Reverend Run of Run DMC fame is an ordained minister.

As hip-hop apostles grow in number and visibility, the influence of hip-hop in the church and vice-versa becomes more evident.

Only 5 years ago if someone had mentioned the word podcast to you, you would most probably have looked inquisitively at them or smiled nervously at them. That would then have been followed by the question what is a podcast. Nowadays however podcats are readily available on many sites including major news channels, sporting channels right down to personal blog sites.

So why the upsurge in podcating, or podcast listeners? Natural technical progression I believe is the way this has come about. I remember my friend years ago telling me that one time he was speaking with his dad about cassette tapes and LPs (kids ask your parents). His dad then said to him do you know what, in years to come there will be no cassettes, no LPs (no CDs) everything will be help on solid state players, like a cassette but with no moving parts. How right he was. I bet he only wishes hes looked into the development more at the time.

So what is a podcast? Without wanting to get too technical a podcast is: A podcast is a way to broadcast multimedia files - audio or video - over the Internet for playback on mobile devices (ex. MP3 players) and personal computers. The host of a podcast is the "podcaster." Podcasting allows the podcaster to create a broadcast about a subject of interest to him/her and their subscribers. Subscribers are then able to listen to the podcast, how, when and where they want. You are in essence your own DJ. All you have to do is find listeners.

How often have you listened to the radio thinking I could do that and not only that, I could do that better than they are on the radio. Well now is your chance. Quick Podcast gives you all you need to get your podcast on the air for one low price.

Included is:

Podcast Publication - Host, manage and publish your broadcasts with ease.

Music Producer Information

Let's take an in-depth look at some different music producer information. A music producer is also known as a record producer. They have various job functions to perform, such as focusing on the recording sessions helping the musicians organizing and scheduling the promotions, productions, and the budget.

They also supervise the initial recording of songs, along with any mixing and mastering the process. The music producer also helps create, and make the music the best it can be and make sure it flows into the albums vision or designs. They are also responsible for the paid technicians, musicians, and can even choose music for an entire album.

The pay of the music producer changed rapidly after the first independent producer came along in the mid 1950s. Then the studios, which allowed people to come in and pay for an hour or two of time, caused even more change. Many of these were former record company employees.

Since the role of the music producer changed, so did their influence on the music industry, singers and songwriters as well. There are many famous music producers known today such as Don Kirshner, Mickie Most, Rick Rubin, RZA, Dr. Dre and Timbaland. Those are only a few of them and there are even hundreds more out there.

The salary of a music producer can vary depending on where they work, what clients they represent, and their location. The amount of time they have spent in the business also plays an important role on the salary as well. Once you have considered these parts in then you have to look at their education level as well and what schools they attended.

Some music producers only get around 20 thousand a year while others can make up to and more than 1 million a year. This can almost be compared to one single hit versus to a hundred chart topping singles and albums.

Deciding to or focusing on the music industry is a life altering experience and can be the difference between living well off for the rest of your life to barely making it or worse yet not making it at all. I hope this music producer information has been helpful.

If you have the desire in you to become a music producer then you owe it to yourself to check out the free music producer course video ready for you to watch at Ryan's website. For more great music producer information check out http://www.squidoo.com/music-producer-course/

For all of you up and coming guitar heroes out there, I have put together a couple of easy guitar solos and riffs for you to try out.

One of the most frustrating things when starting to learn how to play guitar is trying to learn a solo, riff or even a whole song that you're not ready for. What ends up happening is your confidence starts to fade and before you know it you stop playing altogether.

The trick is to start off with easy songs or solos and practice them until you know them inside and out. Once you know a few of the easier ones, then you can challenge yourself and try something a little harder. Oh and make sure you don't just learn solos and riffs only. Take the time to learn whole songs from beginning to end. You don't want one of your friends to ask you to play them something and all you can perform for them are a solo from this song and a riff from that song.

Here are a couple of fairly easy ones to get you started.

Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses

If you are a complete beginner and have never played a solo before, you may find it a little tricky at first because of the string skipping. The secret is to grab your metronome and set it at a slower tempo than the 120 beats per minute that the original recording is in. Practice at this slow tempo until you get it down and then gradually speed it up. If you are still having trouble at a slower speed, slow it down some more. I know you want to play it at full speed as soon as possible but if you don't get it perfect at the slow tempo, you definitely won't get it at the faster tempo.

Each note that you play is an eighth note. This just means that each note gets half of a beat on your metronome.

Here's the riff:

----------------15----14---------------------15-----14---------

-------15---------------------------15-------------------------

----------14-------14----14------------14--------14----14------

---12--------12-----------------12--------12-------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

----------------15----14---------------------15-----14---------

-------15---------------------------15-------------------------

----------14-------14----14------------14--------14----14------

---14--------12-----------------14--------12-------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

------------------15----14---------------------15-----14-------

-------15---------------------------15-------------------------

----12------14-12----14----14----12----14-12-------14----14----

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

----------------15----14---------------------15-----14---------

-------15---------------------------15-------------------------

----------14-------14----14------------14--------14----14------

---12--------12-----------------12--------12-------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream

Here's another cool one for you by Eric Clapton of Cream.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------12--12---10---12--------------------------------------------------------

------------------------12--11--10-------8------------------------------------

------------------------------------10------10--------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------12--12---10---12--------------------------------------------------------

------------------------12--11--10-------8------------------------------------

------------------------------------10------10--------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So go learn these two riffs and get these classics into your repertoire. Once you've got them mastered, try learning the whole songs. Sure you probably would like to learn as many of these easy guitar solos and riffs as possible but don't forget how important knowing the whole song is!

Tony Yayo

Tony Yayo has bein included on most of his G Unit friends solo albums, in preparation for his own debut album release. The artists featured on the album consist of 50 Cent, Young Buck, The Game and Lloyd Banks. And of course other artists such as, Lil' Flip, Paul Wall, Eminem and Dr. Dre. The album title Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon has already been released in America.

Expectation for Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon has developed since his new audio tracks have been featured on mixtapes and the most popular radio stations. Tony Yayo is one of G Units original members. During a tour stop in south New York, the G Unit artist was detained for an outstanding weapons charges warrent and was sentenced to a year in a New York prison. When Yayo was finally let out from prison he was almost immediately detained again the next day for having in his possesion a fake passport. The incident forced Yayo to spend six months in prison. After release, the rapper began preparing for his debut album.

The G Unit rapper was recording with G-Unit even though he is only featured two times on Beg For Mercy. Free Yayo was a group created by the G Unit members with the purpose of creating great support for the detained Tony Yayo. For example, on the Beg For Mercy sony Stunt 101 rapper and friend Young Buck says free yayo, the video for that same track features "free Yayo" graffiti. The interest group got to be much bigger than any of them had imagined, even with such rappers such as Eminem wearing a "Free Yayo" T-Shirt at an MTV music Awards 2005. Which ended up in the sale of apparel with the phrase 'Free Yayo' on it. The association was accountable for the enthusiasm and expectation produced for the release of the G-Unit rapper. As an additional effect, Tony Yayo's features on alternative mixtapes seriously raised sales of DJs such as DJ Clue and DJ Whoo Kid.

Among the skills you can develop with the Pure Pitch Method is the ability to name notes and chords by ear. It was once thought that such an ability was something that one had to be "born with." But that is now known not to be true. It can be developed but only through special techniques such as those used with the Pure Pitch Method.

Another amazing skill you'll pick up by using this software is the ability to know how to play songs on your instrument (whether it be guitar, piano, or anything else) just by hearing it! The ability to play by ear separates the amateur from the truly great musician.

A particularly great skill for those who wish to write songs is the ability to compose melodies in one's head. With Pure Pitch Method that ability can be developed. Let's face it... sight reading is one of the hardest skills to develop on the guitar.

Most of us have too much fun learning music by ear or just use guitar tabs. But learning how to sight read on guitar can lead to getting gigs and open up your ability to expand your repertoire.

So... how do you get started?

Most guitar methods start you off by learning the notes in the open/first position. This is all well and good, but you should also practice reading up and down strings as well as diagonally across the fretboard.

Before you even try to sight read a piece of music on guitar, here's what you need to understand first:

  • The note names on the staff. You need to have these down cold. Just practice naming the notes in order until it's effortless.

  • The rhythm. Are there any challenging rhythms, or are you already familiar with all of them? Practice "tah-ing" the rhythm with a metronome. This means to vocalize just the rhythm of the music.

  • Where the notes are on the fretboard. Go through the notes in order, name them, and play them on the guitar in the position you're working on.

Only after you've mastered the fundamentals (the note names, the rhythm, and where the notes are on the guitar) should you attempt to sight read the music live.

Always practice slow enough that it's easy, and then speed it up.

Once you've got the hang of a piece of music in a give position, try playing it in another position.

Sight reading on guitar takes a lot of time to get used to, but it's worth it.

Great "Tween" Party Ideas

Still dishing out the same old party themes for your kids? How about the "tween" in the family? For the next birthday, make the party most memorable for your 12-year-old. These party ideas will set you apart as the coolest mom and dad in the block.

Party Uppers

Children ages 9 to 12 are at an awkward age, but give them a fun party and they'll lap it up. Since they are not official teenagers and no longer the little ones, giving them a party they can enjoy can tax your imagination and stamina. These tween party ideas will give your tween star status in the neighborhood.

Let the tween in you help you along these party ideas. If you've decided to host a Safari Sleepover, schedule it on a Friday night. The timing is right. The kids can catch some extra zzzs after a night of fun. But be sure to announce that the pick-up time for the kids is at 10 the following day.

An outdoor sleepover is a good idea, but for the kids' safety, have the tents installed indoors. Put up a hotdog and harshmallow grill, but don't forget to add a salad and animal-shaped sandwiches. Fill GI canteens with juice and distribute them among the guests. Let them whoop it up in the lawn - dancing and organized games - until you announce that it's bedtime. Girls should be separated from boys if it's a mixed party.

A tween party idea young girls enjoy is the "pajama dress-up" party. The girls can bring along their blings. Let them have a go at putting up makeup and do other girly things they all want to do - fix their hair, paint their nail with fun colors, and do a pajama fashion show. Of course, expect the girls to stay up late watching videos, swapping ghost stories, and doing just about anything. Girls are wont to do that when they are together.

If your tween loves to rock, she or he will be inviting like-minded friends. Host a rock party they won't forget. A '70s disco-themed party is a novel experience for the young ones. Clear the living room, install a disco globe, and get dance music they'll rock to. To make it more authentic, hire a neighborhood DJ who can do the spinning. Be sure to keep a bottomless supply of the kids' favorite eats, drinks, and munchies.

A beach party theme is also a welcome idea, whether you have a pool or not. Decorate the party venue with shell wired garlands, paper balls, mock palm trees, and surfboards. Prepare more than a dozen rubber slippers. Use colorful fish platters to serve your beach fare. Ask the guests to come in their favorite beach bum attire. If you have a pool, make sure that a lifeguard is around to watch over the kids.

Before the Party

Schedule the party on a weekend before the actual birthday. Get invitations to go with the party theme. A pillow invitation for a sleep over, a papier mache conch shell for the beach party, and a map invitation for the safari or treasure hunt party. Shop for party favors and ask your tween for the type of music he or she wants for the party. To make your shopping a convenient jaunt, have your money organized in one of those money clip wallets, and bring along the list of things you must buy for the party.

Call up the parents and ask for any restrictions on movies to watch and any food allergies to avoid potential problems. To help you out, ask the neighbors' tweens to come over. They'll enjoy the party too. If you have smaller kids, let them have a guest or two so they won't feel left out of the fun.

In this G Unit Biography, you will find just a touch of information on this group of men who has literally taken over the rap world, transforming it into what it has become today. First, who is G Unit? You may have heard that G Unit is the posse that is behind 50 Cent. Or, you may know them as 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. They are often accompanied by DJ Whookid or sometimes Cutmaster C as the DJ. In any case, G Unit offers an interesting biography.

If you dont already know, G Unit has done a remarkable amount of work together after only a few years. Some of their most popular music trends have resulted in these mixes: 50 Cent is the Future, Gods Plan, Automatic Gunfire, and No Mercy, No Fear. Hip hop music has been forever changed by these mixes to say the least.

But, it doesnt stop there. The group was in the middle of recording its debut album when Yayo was sent to prison on charges of gun possession. Instead, the group brought on Young Buck and kept moving. The album Get Rich or Die Trying brought on much success for the group. Still, they kept moving and offered new mix tapes. They began to hit it big with the G Unit Remix and 50 Cents P.I.M.P. On that particular one, Snoop Dogg was featured on the album. This in turn led to MTV easily playing it over and over again, opening the door to G Unit, finally. With this new found success, they continued to grow releasing Beg for Mercy in 2003 as their debut album. Successes here grew from some outstanding singles.

In this G Unit biography, we were only able to touch on what this group of men has to offer hip hop music. In fact, rap has forever been changed by them.
